Season 2 of Gabby Duran & The Unsittables was officially announced by Variety on October 7, 2019, ahead of the series premiere. [1] Production began on January 28, 2020, but was halted due to COVID-19, later resumed on October 2, 2020, and wrapped on March 13, 2021. The 20 episode season premiered on June 4, 2021, and concluded on November 26, 2021.

On December 6, 2021, it was officially announced that Gabby Duran & The Unsittables was cancelled and would not have a Season 3.[2]

Synopsis

In season two, a resourceful and courageous Gabby faces even bigger challenges as she continues to protect her alien charges while also navigating the everyday emotional rollercoaster of middle school. The season picks up immediately after a cliffhanger with Gabby's mom, Dina, on the verge of learning Gabby's secret, which the intrepid teen will have to stop in order to avoid catastrophic outcomes. Other adventures this season will include a robot replica Gabby-bot running amok, an alien friend who turns into a "Predator" when she becomes emotional, and a quest to recover Principal Swift's home after it's shrunken down to the size of a dollhouse by an extraterrestrial prankster.

  • This season was officially announced before the series premiere making it the first Disney Channel live-action series to be renewed before it's season premieres in 2019 while the second was Sydney to the Max. However, the season did not premiere until over a year since the first season ended.
  • Production began on January 28, 2020, but was halted, resuming on October 2, 2020, and wrapped on March 13, 2021.
  • The season picked up right where "Enter the Dranis" left off.
  • Episodes 1-10 of Season 2 began streaming on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.[3]
